Exploring Rainforest and Reef Walking

Niue has the world safest virgin rainforest which almost cover 25 to 30% of the land area of the island. There are no carnivorous animals nor are there any kind of poisonous animals, insects or spiders, it simply pure wild virgin pristine rainforest for your enjoyment full of native plants and birds.

All tourists are really glad to se such a beautiful place as they explore the rainforest on foot or mountain bikes or even motorcycles. A lot of local guides offer their services to the visitors in exploration of the rain forest lest you should get lost. These guides are pretty experiences and are very courteous to visitors.  Even Heads of States visiting Niue have not missed the opportunity of visiting the beautiful  rainforests which are virtually not present in any other country in the way it can bee seen here.

Another beauty of Niue Island is its Reef Walks. The whole island is ringed with live coral reefs and during the low tide it is very safe to explore. The water is the cleanest amounts all the reefs in the world. The lack of population had ensured that the coast line stays in the way as it was created by nature and no construction on the coast line is allowed. It is a wonderful and fascinating trip to have a walk on the coral reef during a low tide. You can always walk down any sea track from any of the village but if you have no idea of the tides, it is not advisable to venture out alone in the reefs without a proper guide. It is very easy to get hurt or get lost in the coral reefs with an expert guide. Even if you date to go alone you must by the tide charts that are readily available so that you can return to safety before the high tide.
